How do I keep my memories family / genealogy?
I have four cardboard boxes. Two of them with documents and photos. They were under my bed for years umteen mothers and I want to store them elsewhere. They have some organization to them, but I want to take few years and make copies, take steps to preserve certain things etc. Materials include: paper-paper airplane-picture-bible-old leather gloves lace, a silver medal Stoll Fox, a small book bound in leather with well wishes written with a fountain pen; pages very fragile. – My grandmother of memorabilia from kindergarten education. maps, photographs, artifacts, many handkerchiefs as he gave his students. I'll let the experts answer part preservation. I had an idea: You can take pictures of most things and burn them onto a CD with a family tree from FTM or Roots Magic then a copy of the CD to all your brothers and sisters, nephews and nieces. Later versions of RM allows you to copy a read-only version of the program on CD, with selected data. He beat a 60-page report 8 Ways to Sunday.
