Mention the word "metaphysical" around a Christian fundamentalist and you will be greeted with a suspicious glare. Such discourse is not not in the Bible. It is modern, it is science, it is secular, it is witchcraft, it is New Age and is a threat. But I ask you what part the Bible is not metaphysics?
A The term "metaphysical" simply refers to something that is outside the limits alleged physical reality. I never know how the Bible be taken literally but I know that walking on water, rising from the dead, Thousands of feeding fish, the virgin birth, to escape the destruction of bodily fire, which makes man blind see, plopping down instant humans and turning water into wine definitely pushes the limits of our perceived reality. I invite these activities metaphysics.
Notice that I said Perceived "A" reality. That's what we decide based on what appears to be. Recent research has shown that particles and energy can be interchangeable because they are really forms of the same essence. In other words, the idea of energy is transmitted by the number of ions low power. Plus we're listening vibrations of the mind, the sooner our intention to get through and, in doing so it bypasses the heavier, slower methods of moving around these ions. So there really a scientific explanation for many miracles that we find in the Bible.
Do you see what this discovery? It reconciles science and religion which have been vehemently opposed each other since time began. He explains the material things in the spirit of the terms and things spiritual in material terms. I guess I called the metaphysics of Christianity.
Within this understanding, we recognize a strong force and we are giving good gifts to her as goodness and love and healing and beauty. This force can be decomposed in an understanding of tiny electrical ions moving in a life enhancing management. We are at liberty to jump to any point in the spectrum belief, but no matter where we choose to identify, there is still a reality based on the explanation of our belief.
Fundamentalists connect to their views through an intense emotional not intellectual. That Fine, ideas can be feelings and donÂ't have have the words. Metaphysicians connect to them by way of scientific explanation. Thata fine too, because many ideas and feelings are two vehicles that lead to the same understanding. Both lead to an experience of faith.
Energy and particles. Interchangeable substances. In fact, one could even remove the word metaphysical, because the phenomenon we are talking about is actually all natural. Or is it that everything begins and ends in mind, as the event is actually a byproduct of the great mystical power? Mystique? This word is not in the Bible either, but what? We merged the two populations of science and religion and so we made the world in a more integrated and harmonious place.
