In how many religions, was crucified someone to help the world?
Ok it is Christianity was Jesus were supposedly died for the sins of the world. There is also Nordic legends in which Odin was crucified to the world tree order it can acquire the knowledge of death. I was wondering how many other religions have crucified someone to help the world
Odin Hung himself of the axis mundi, and itself pierced by his own spear, he was not "crucified". This would mean a person had power to crucify Odin, and that's a bit blasphemous. Although the myth is that I take literally (Odin, the spirit-form suspended in the axis the spiritual world, Yggdrasil, which is a spiritual tree, and acquired wisdom that later gave to humanity), it follows a model of the gods themselves offering as a sacrifice for something that is then freely gave to humanity (in the case of Odin, wisdom and runes). The same trend is repeated in Mithra, Horus, Krishna and many other legends of God. What is absurd is only repeating the myth of a religion based around an omnipotent god. I mean, he can not afford to sacrifice to win something he did not, because being omnipresent and omnipotent, he would already have it: P.
