Black is a dark rich mixture of solid black ink, 100% K, with additional CMY ink values. This results in a darker tone than black ink only. If you print black alone as 100% of K, the dark due in May not be as bleak as you might like.
Formula CMYK for printing the color black – Deep Rich Black is C60 M40 Y40 K100.
This formula was making 3 of the best printers in the United States.
Just about any quality printer you say this, but, of course, you must you ask. Some printers have different formulas for CMYK values – is ok. Anywhere close to the value above will give you a Deep Rich Black better than using K100% naked black only.
